​2026 City & Park Board Election

Below is important information and key dates for the upcoming 2026 City Election that will be held on
Tuesday, June 9th, 2026:

1. To have your name appear on the election ballot, candidates must return two forms to the Kindred City Auditor’s office by the filing deadline of Monday, April 6th, 2026 at 4:00PM CDT.
• Petition/Certificate of Nomination (SFN 2704)
• Statement of Interests (SFN 10172)

2. Positions available and number of signatures required for the Petition/Certificate of Nomination form (SFN 2704) per NDCC 40-21-07.

3. Per NDCC 40-21-08, the auditor shall determine the arrangement of the names of the candidates upon
the ballot by conducting a drawing immediately after the candidate filing deadline. Ballot order drawing
will be held Monday, April 6th, 2026 at 4:15PM CDT at Kindred City Hall.

4. All the listed elected positions will receive compensation of some level. If elected, payroll forms and proper identification will need to be submitted; payroll taxes will be deducted as required by law. Compensation may be declined at any time by submitting written notice to the board.
