The Kindred Public Library opened its doors in November 2002 at 330 Elm St. The Library is staffed and governed solely by volunteers. The Library hosts many fun events and activities year-round, including  Children's Story Time, Breakfast with a Book, Reading Programs, Little Free Libraries, and two main fundraisers - Festival of Tables and Tour of Homes. The Library offers the newest best-sellers, the old classics, and several online resources.
